Learning Kernel Parameters by using Class Separability Measure
Learning kernel parameters is important for kernel based methods because these parameters have significant impact on the generalization abilities of these methods. Besides the methods of Cross-Validation and Leave-One-Out, minimizing some upper bounds on the generalization error, such as the radius-margin bound, was also proposed to more efficiently learn the optimal kernel parameters. In this ...
متن کاملPinning class of the Wiener measure by a functional: related martingales and invariance properties
Abstract. For a given functional Y on the path space, we define the pinning class of the Wiener measure as the class of probabilities which admit the same conditioning given Y as the Wiener measure. Using stochastic analysis and the theory of initial enlargement of filtration, we study the transformations (not necessarily adapted) which preserve this class. We prove, in this non Markov setting,...
متن کاملOn the generating process and the class typicality measure
In this paper, we consider the stochastic generating process—one of the key concepts of the Evolving Transformation System model [1]—from the formal perspective. First, we give an informal definition of the generating process supported by some intuitive assumptions and consider several examples. Then, we formally define the concept of the generating process as a continuous parameter (c.p.) Mark...
متن کاملWeighted Convolution Measure Algebras Characterized by Convolution Algebras
The weighted semigroup algebra Mb (S, w) is studied via its identification with Mb (S) together with a weighted algebra product *w so that (Mb (S, w), *) is isometrically isomorphic to (Mb (S), *w). This identification enables us to study the relation between regularity and amenability of Mb (S, w) and Mb (S), and improve some old results from discrete to general case.
متن کاملAlgebraic Characterization of the Class of Languages Recognized by Measure Only Quantum Automata
We study a model of one-way quantum automaton where only measurement operations are allowed (MOn-1qfa). We give an algebraic characterization of LMO(Σ), showing that the syntactic monoids of the languages in LMO(Σ) are exactly the literal pseudovariety of J-trivial literally idempotent monoids, where J is the Green’s relation determined by two-sided ideals. We also prove that LMO(Σ) coincides w...
